SVG output size
SVGs are redrawn at this multiple of their own width and height, so 2x or 4x gives a sharper, larger image.

SVG to JPG is for the cases where nothing else will do: an application form, a print order or a listing site that only takes .jpg files, or an SVG illustration you want as a compact photo-style image. The SVG is drawn onto a white canvas at the scale you pick and saved as JPG by your browser, so it never leaves your device.
What changes and what stays
- Transparent areas become white. There is no transparency in JPG.
- Vector becomes a fixed-size, lossy image. Choose the scale up front; flat colours may show slight JPG artefacts near edges.
- External resources are not drawn. Linked fonts and images are skipped; embedded ones work.
When JPG is the wrong choice
- The logo will sit on a coloured background. The white box will show. Use SVG to PNG to keep transparency.
- It contains small text or thin lines. PNG keeps them crisp; JPG adds blur and ringing around them.
- The destination accepts SVG. Then upload the SVG itself and it stays sharp at every size.
Frequently asked questions
What background does the JPG get?
White. JPG cannot store transparency, so the canvas is filled with white before the SVG is drawn. A logo with a transparent background therefore lands on white, not black.
Should I use JPG or PNG for an SVG logo?
PNG, unless something specifically asks for JPG. Logos are flat colours with hard edges, which JPG compression softens with faint halos. JPG makes sense when a form or platform only accepts .jpg, or for SVG illustrations with gradients and lots of detail.
How do I get a high-resolution JPG from an SVG?
Pick 3x or 4x under SVG output size before downloading. The vector is redrawn at that size, so a 120 x 120 icon becomes 480 x 480 at 4x with clean edges. Raise the quality slider too for fewer artefacts.
Why does my SVG look different in the JPG?
The browser renders the SVG as a self-contained image: fonts and pictures it links to by URL are not loaded, and a system font stands in for missing web fonts. Embedded fonts and data-URL images render normally.
