What to notice
A Taylor polynomial matches derivatives at its center c. Raising the order adds more local information. Some consecutive orders add no visible change when the next coefficient is zero.
For 1/(1 + x), the Taylor series converges only for |x − c| < 1 + c because the nearest singularity is x = −1. More terms outside this interval can make the approximation worse. Sine and exponential series converge for every finite x, though low orders are still local approximations.
The main graph uses a fixed vertical window to keep the function readable; an approximation can leave it. The error graph and maximum sampled error still include those values.

Are these symbolic calculators?
These tools teach through supported function presets, exact derivatives and antiderivatives where supplied, and labelled numerical approximations. They do not evaluate arbitrary expressions.
Do calculations leave my device?
All graphs and calculations run locally in your browser. No account or external calculation service is required.
