Add a caption, label, or quote to a photo and drag it exactly where you want it. The text gets an automatic dark outline so it stays readable over any part of the image, light or dark. Everything renders locally in your browser.
How to use it
- Choose an image, drop it here, or paste it (Ctrl+V).
- Type your text, then press Add text.
- Drag the text anywhere on the image to position it.
- Click it to select it, then change its size, color, or boldness, or edit its content in the text box above.
- Add more text the same way, or delete what's selected.
- Download the result or copy it straight to your clipboard.
Frequently asked questions
Is the image or text uploaded anywhere?
No - the text is drawn directly on an HTML canvas in your browser. The image never leaves your device.
Can I move the text after adding it?
Yes - click it to select it, then drag it anywhere on the image.
Can I add more than one piece of text?
Yes - press 'Add text' again. Each one can be moved, edited, and colored on its own; click one to select it first.
Why does the text have a dark outline?
So it stays readable on both light and dark parts of a photo, the way captions and memes usually look. The outline is automatic and isn't a separate setting.
Does it support line breaks?
Yes - press Enter in the text box for a new line, same as typing anywhere else.
What image formats can I upload and export?
Upload any common image type - PNG, JPEG, WebP, and more. Downloads keep your original format; the clipboard copy is always PNG.
