Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No - every page is rendered entirely in your browser using mupdf, a WebAssembly PDF engine. The file never leaves your device.
Do I get one file, or one per page?
One JPG per page - a 6-page PDF produces 6 separate image downloads, each named after the original file and page number.
Will my browser block the downloads?
Some browsers ask for permission the first time a page tries to save more than one file at once. Allow it, and every page downloads automatically from then on.
What resolution are the JPGs?
Pages are rendered at 150 DPI, a middle ground between screen and print quality, at the JPEG quality you choose.
Does this work on scanned or image-only PDFs?
Yes - since it renders the visual page rather than reading a text layer, it works the same on scanned documents, photos, and regular text PDFs.
