Slowed + Reverb
Slowed + Reverb makes a slowed + reverb, sped up or nightcore version of a song in your browser, with presets, a speed slider from 0.5x to 1.5x and a reverb amount, and saves it as MP3, WAV or M4A.

- Accepts
- MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG and Opus audio, or the sound in a video file
- Outputs

- Where it runs
- Entirely in your browser, on your device
- What leaves your device
- Nothing - the file never leaves your device
- Limits
- Pitch moves with speed (the slowed and sped-up sound); it doesn't change tempo while keeping the pitch

Turn any song into the dreamy slowed + reverb version, or the fast and high sped-up and nightcore versions you hear on TikTok and YouTube. Pick a style or set the speed and reverb yourself, listen, and download. Your song stays on your device.
How to use it
- Drop in a song (MP3, M4A, WAV and more, or a video).
- Pick Slowed + Reverb, Super slowed, Sped up or Nightcore, or set the speed and reverb yourself.
- Press Make it, listen, and download as MP3, M4A or WAV.
Honest limits
- The pitch moves with the speed, as in every slowed and sped-up edit. To change the key without changing the speed, use Change Song Key.
- Everything runs in your browser tab; the file is never uploaded.
- Long files are read and processed a piece at a time, so the length of the recording isn't the limit. The finished file is held in memory until you save it: about 86 MB per hour as MP3, and about 690 MB per hour of 48 kHz stereo as WAV, which a phone may not manage.
- MP3 and M4A are re-encoded at 192 kbps, which is a lossy step (like any edit to an MP3). WAV is uncompressed 16-bit.
- M4A is offered only when the browser has an AAC encoder (most desktop Chrome, Edge and Safari do; Firefox does not).
Frequently asked questions
What speed is a typical slowed + reverb edit?
Most are between 0.8x and 0.9x with a fair amount of reverb, which is what the Slowed + Reverb preset uses (0.85x, 40% reverb). Super slowed goes down to about 0.7x. Sped up and nightcore edits are usually 1.2x to 1.4x.
Why does the pitch change too?
Because that's the sound: slowing a song down the way a record or tape slows down lowers the pitch along with the tempo, and speeding it up raises it, which gives nightcore its high voices. At 0.85x a song drops about 2.8 semitones. To change the key without changing the speed, use Change Song Key.
What's the difference between sped up and nightcore?
Very little: both play the song faster and higher. Nightcore is usually a bit faster (around 1.3x to 1.4x) and often has a touch of reverb, which is what the Nightcore preset does.
Can I use the result on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube?
You can upload the file anywhere, but slowing a song down doesn't change who owns it. A slowed edit of a copyrighted song is still that song, so platforms may mute or claim it. Use music you own or have the right to use.
Why is the file a few seconds longer than I expected?
The reverb keeps ringing after the last note, so up to 3 seconds of tail are added at the end instead of cutting it off. With reverb at 0 nothing is added.
Is my song uploaded?
No. The speed change and the reverb are worked out inside your browser tab, and the file never leaves your device.
