Rotate PDF turns a PDF's pages 90 degrees at a time - the whole file, a few pages you pick, or one page on its own - with no Adobe Acrobat or other software required. Previews render with pdf.js and the rotation is written with pdf-lib, both entirely inside this browser tab; the file you upload is never sent to a server.

How to use it

  1. Drag and drop, or click to upload a PDF.
  2. To turn everything, use the "All pages" buttons - left, right, or 180°.
  3. To turn only some pages, click them (shift-click for a run) and use the "Selection" buttons, or use the arrows under any single page.
  4. Check the previews - they show exactly how each page will come out - then click "Rotate & Download PDF".

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No - the page previews are rendered with pdf.js and the rotation is applied with pdf-lib, both entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your device.

Can I rotate a single page instead of the whole document?

Yes. Every page has its own rotate-left and rotate-right buttons under its preview. The buttons above the grid apply to all pages at once, and the selection buttons apply to just the pages you've clicked.

How do I rotate several pages but not all of them?

Click the pages you want - shift-click to take a whole run - then use the "Rotate selected" buttons. Selected pages are outlined; clicking a selected page again deselects it.

Can I rotate to a custom angle, like 45 degrees?

No, only 90-degree steps. PDF stores page orientation as a quarter-turn flag, so 90, 180, and 270 are the only angles a viewer will honour.

Does rotating reduce PDF quality?

No - pdf-lib just changes each page's rotation flag, it doesn't re-render or recompress the page content.

Why do I only see previews for the first 200 pages?

Rendering a preview for every page of a very long document is slow and memory-hungry, so previews stop at 200 pages. Rotating all pages still applies to the whole file - only the previews are capped.

What's the rotated file called?

Your original filename with -rotated added, like report-rotated.pdf.
